Highest whisky price

Last year's highest whisky price was paid by an Anonymus bidder on an auction in London last November. 14,850 GBP for The Glenavon *** Special Liqueur Whisky bottled by the distillers' dates from the 1850s. This could be the oldest bottle of whisky in existence. As one commented in a chatroom: "Worthless if you open it ... Pointless if you don't!" Well, I would really like to keep such a "worthless" bottle in my cupboard.
