Chivas Snowgolf Series 2005

Did not dissapeared. The past couple of weeks were very busy. Becasue of Christmas – the main season in whisky business. But also I was lucky to be got involved deeper in the world of whiskies, as well as tasted many new whiskies. One event I must mention from the past month, is the Hungarian adaptation of Chivas Snowgolf Series. The first ever Chivas event in Hungary, Chivas Icegolf, was took place on a skating rink in the fancy roof garden of the biggest shopping mall in the centre of Budapest. Professional golf players, famous celebrities and the hip prominents of Budapest high-class were invited for an exclusive night-party where all the guests had the chance to taste their golf-skills on a 9-hole icegolf course. The winners of two categories, golfplayers and celebrities, got the privilige to represent Hungary in the Final of the 2005 Chivas Snowgolf Series in St.Moritz in 2006 January. The event was beneficial for me as a whisky gourmet, too. Beside of testing my golf-skills on ice, I could even taste Chivas grog, which I can only recommend to anyone to be warmed up in the winter season.
Chivas Grog:
4cl of Chivas Regal 12 years old
2dl of hot water
a spoon of honey
2 slice of orange
some clove and cinnamon

Nem tűntem el, csak éppen az elmúlt pár hét igencsak mozgalmas volt. Főleg a Karácsonyi hajtás miatt – a whisky-üzletben ez az igazi szezon. Ám azért is, mert sikerült kicsit jobban elmélyülnöm a whiskyk világában és remek új whiskyket kóstolhattam. Egy eseményt mindenképpen meg kell említenem az elmúlt hónapból: a Chivas Snowgolf Series magyarországi adaptációját. Ez volt ez első Chivas rendezvény Magyarországon. A Chivas Jéggolf a WestEnd bevásárlóközpont tetőteraszán működő jégpályán került megrendezésre. A meghívottak profi golfjátékosok, közismert médiaszemélyiségek, valamint Budapest újdonságokért rajongó prominens hírességei voltak, akik mind kipróbálhatták golftudásukat a jégpályán megépített 9-lyukú golfpályán. A golfjátékosok és a közismert személyiségek kategóriájának nyertesei képviselhetik Magyarországot a Chivas Snowgolf Series 2005-ös döntőjén St.Moritzban. A rendezvény számomra, mint whisky-rajongó számára is hasznosnak bizonyult. Amellett, hogy kipróbálhattam csekélyke golftudásom jégen csúszkálva, megkóstolhattam a Chivas Grog-ot is, amelyet mindenkinek csak ajánlani tudok a zord hideg téli időszakban.
