Whisk(e)y 2.0 in the Whisky Magazine
I am very proud that the editors of the Whisky Magazine selected my 'whiskynews' among the top 5 whisky blogs! I am happy that they appreciate my efforts I have put in to this whisky education in the past 2 and a half years. And thanks for all my readers who come back time to time to check what happens in the world of whiskies. There are two other blogs - clearly better than my one - among the best ones:

Húú, de nagyon büszke vagyok rá, hogy a híres-neves Whisky Magazin beválogatta szerény blogomat a világ 5 legjobb whisky blogja közé! Azért is örülök az ilyen elismerésnek, mert ezzel szépen díjazzák mindazt az erőfeszítést, amit a "whisky-ismeretterjesztésbe" öltem az elmúlt két és fél évben. Na és persze köszönet minden kedves olvasómnak, akik időről időre visszatérnek, hogy megnézzék mi is történik a whiskyk világában. The London Gathering takes place on the 8th and 9th of September at the exclusive Inner Temple Gardens, London. The event will host three marquees each celebrating a different aspect of Scottish culture, including music, fashion, food, literature and of course whisky.
The London Gathering will also see the official launch of the limited edition 17 year old Balvenie Sherry Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Crafted by the Balvenie malt master, David Stewart, the Balvenie Sherry Oak will complement the existing range of award winning Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whiskies.
This limited edition is a rare treat for any whisky enthusiast. Only a couple of examples exist of The Balvenie, matured solely in sherry casks. The most famous is Cask 191, a 50 year old which yielded just 83 bottles in 2002 and - at £6,000 a bottle, has been enjoyed by a privileged few.
